内容紹介

アフィン代数幾何は代数幾何学の一つの研究分野であり、アメリカ合衆国数学会の Mathematical Reviews では、アフィン幾何学として分類されている。
アフィン代数多様体の幾何学的な研究とともに、多項式環の代数的な問題の幾何学的な道具を駆使した研究が盛んである。当該記念論文集には、宮西正宜教授の同僚らから寄稿された研究論文１９編に加え、宮西正宜教授自身による６０ページを越える超大作の論文が収録されており、読者は、此所１５年間におけるアフィン代数幾何の進展の状況と現在の潮流を眺望することができる。
アフィン代数幾何と多項式環の周辺の研究者、大学院生のための必読の好著である。
